• Well.. it depends! Here in Calgary and surrounding areas we get a lot of sunshine! That means we need to be watering our lawns regularly. If you recently installed new sod, we recommend watering twice a day where your output is equivalent to an inch across the whole lawn. If you're watering an established lawn, for best results water once a day at the same rate.

  • You should be fertilizing 2-3 times every year. We recommend Bluegrass Fertilizer which can be purchased at Bluegrass Nursery and Sod. While you may also use Scotts or other brands, we recommend making the trip to Balzac for the best!

  • We strongly recommend weekly mowing. When you mow Bi-Weekly, you are giving the lawn a lot of time to grow. When lawns grow tall, the bottom of the grass does not receive sunlight and loses the colour. This could be why you are getting brown spots in your lawn after you cut the grass. Mowing weekly will also put less stress on your mower and in turn will increase the lifespan of your blades.

  • While we understand life is busy, so are our schedules. We do not like picking up after your dogs any more than you do. Please ensure your lawn has been cleaned prior to our arrival. There will be a non-negotiable additional charge on your invoice if we are required to pick up dog poop. Service may be denied and you will be billed for our time if there is excessive amounts of dog poop.

  • We service Calgary, Airdrie and surrounding areas. Contact us if you're outside of Airdrie and Calgary and we will do our best to accommodate.

  • Ready to set up a bulk delivery? It can easily be done on our website without dialing a single number. Prior to our arrival, we recommend laying out a tarp on your driveway or in the back alley. This will make sure you have less clean up and more product where you wanted it!

On the website store, you can select Delivery or Delivery and Install. Make sure you choose the right option when ordering!

If you are receiving more than 12 yards of bulk product, we offer tandem rates. Contact us to learn more.

  • We would be happy to help whether you want to rip everything out and start fresh, or try and rejuvenate the lawn. It can take up to 2 years to repair a lawn to its glory.

If you're looking to start fresh, we recommend removing all the existing lawn, applying topsoil or screened loam, making sure its all level and then rolling out some sod or spreading seed! Seed can take awhile to establish and if you're looking for that new lawn look in 2 weeks we strongly recommend going with sod.

  • Water consumption changes from species to species. Poplars, Willows and Birch trees are some that require A LOT of water. That being said, there are cultivars that have been designed to lessen some of the water requirements. As a rule of thumb, if you want to promote a healthy tree that can combat any illness, repair wounds and bloom the brightest, we recommend watering at least once a day for 10-20 minutes along the tree drip line.

  • While this is extremely common, it doesn't make it any less frustrating. To fix already damaged grass, you must rake out the dead grass, put down a small amount of top soil and reseed each spot. Water twice a day for 1 month and then cut back to once a day.

There are products available to purchase that claim to prevent the burning from occurring.

  • YES!!! Aeration is one of the best services you can provide for your lawn. Aeration helps to alleviate soil compaction, which allows air, water, and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots more effectively. This process promotes stronger, healthier roots, leading to a more robust and lush lawn. Additionally, aeration can help reduce thatch buildup, improve drainage, and enhance the lawn's resilience against heat and drought. Regular aeration is especially beneficial for lawns that experience heavy foot traffic or have clay soils.

  • Trees, Shrubs, Sod and Perennials: If not properly maintained post planting. Please water or contact us for watering services.
