Pay: $25 - $30/hour (based on experience and skill level)

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Seasonal

Company: Sunshine Scapes

About Us:
At Sunshine Scapes, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional landscaping services by using top-of-the-line equipment. We’re looking for skilled equipment operators who can handle everything from heavy machinery to, occasionally, a good old-fashioned shovel (for the extra precise moments).

Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators to work with the Ditch Witch, Excavator, Skid Steer, and Front-End Loader. You’ll be responsible for preparing job sites, transporting materials, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. And yes, we may ask you to master the shovel for those times when it’s truly necessary!

Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment such as Ditch Witch, Excavator and Skid Steer for trenching, grading, material loading, and excavation.

  • Master the art of the shovel for those high-detail moments.

  • Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure proper function.

  • Assist with site preparation and landscaping tasks alongside the crew.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently while adhering to project timelines.

  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience operating heavy machinery, including Excavators, Ditch Witch, Skid Steer, and Front-End Loaders.

  • A good attitude and work ethic (bonus points for enjoying the occasional shovel joke).

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.

  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.

  • Physical ability to lift materials and perform labour-intensive tasks as needed.

Perks & Benefits:

  • Competitive pay ranges from $25 - $30/hour, depending on experience.

  • Opportunities to grow your skills and career in landscaping and equipment operation.

  • Paid time off for full-time employees.

  • Flexible work hours.

  • A supportive, team-oriented environment with room for advancement.

  • The satisfaction of being part of a team that values hard work, safety, and fun (especially when it comes to shovel-related humor).
